FFF: Tardy with Ten

A little late in getting to the Tenth Fit for Friday!



This was a busy week. Lots of exercise, lots of traveling. Lots of events. I straight up forgot to weigh in yesterday morning. Then I had a promotion event for sports right after work, and when I got home, I took a nice hot bath to ease my aching body, then cuddled up in my blankets and watched Jesus Christ Superstar Live! on Demand. Catching up now!

Workouts: 3.5/7 - I feel pretty good about the amount of workouts this week,though I made it to only one sports practice (other was cancelled for Easter). Most of the rest was due to work things and other commitments, but however it is fit in,  it counts for me! Went for a walk on Sunday with Sir and his family. Hiked over 3 miles on Wed. Should have went to sports Wed, but I was pooped. Thursday I went to practice, and we also did circuit training there, which was a killer! 

Eating: 1/7 - Oh man. Between my Uncle's party on Saturday, Easter Dinner on Sunday, and literally having candy every single day... this week was a crapshoot. A tasty one, hahaha! Sir and I made each other cute little Easter baskets. He put my favorite jellybeans in there, plus Cadbury caramel eggs (one of my few chocolate weaknesses!). Then the next day, he got me another bag of jellybeans, plus Swedish fish eggs and a Godiva bunny (cause it was the after-Easter Sale, he said, hahaha). I brought some to work, but all that means is that I'm eating it both at home AND at work! Candy and soda are my real weaknesses.


Weight:  Gained 0.6 lbs. It's less than I expected. Tomorrow is another day, another week!

Stress: I feel okay, but tired. Not so much needing sleep tired as body fatigue; muscle aches. Also, I had a migraine on Thursday, which made going to practice really difficult. I don't typically get migraines. Sir has had to explain what was happening to me every single time I get one. I don't recall getting any growing up or in my early 20's. Maybe one in my late 20's (now that I know what to look for). And maybe 4 or 5 in the past 3 years. I don't know what brings them on. I realize I am fortunate in that there are those who suffer from them much more regularly.

Decluttering: I did a little better with keeping the house in order, but no "extra" decluttering, really. I did put one book in the donation box though!

Sleep: 4.5/7 - I am trying and managing a bit better I think. Two nights over 9 hours! One night of 6 hours (the reason was so worth it). I took a nap on Thursday before practice and between the nap and regular sleep, I *almost* got 8 hours. Woo!




Hopefully Spring is springing. We were supposed to get snow, but that forecast got tossed out, thankfully! Hopefully it's warming up where you are, (or cooling down if you're on the other side of here)!

  1. Loved the way you said you only got 6 hours one night. :) We have those nights too. ;) Sounds like you did great this week, .6 is not bad at all. :) Sometimes we need those more relaxing weeks and not be so on point all the time. :) Hope this week is good for you.

    1. I feel pretty good, Thanks EsMay. I like to indulge when the time is right. I have so much candy tho, that it is bleeding into this week, too!

  2. Hi Lea, I'm finally getting on board but the sleep one is getting to me. Eric is gone and I find I wake up between 1am and 3am every single day. Ugh. I stayed away from candy on Easter but you listed all of my favorites. Mmmmm.

    1. Sleep is so hard, but I find that it affects so much more! When I am getting good sleep I am more motivated to work out, I feel better, I eat less junk, etc. My mood is improved, I'm better with Sir, etc.

      My Sir was waking up like you, every night... is it just for a few hours, and you can go back to sleep, or are you up at 1 - 3 for the rest of the day?

      He found that having protein before bed helps, as did reducing caffeine intake and working out before bed. Sex before bed helped too, haha!

  3. Hi Lea, sounds like a good week. Easter certainly hasn't helped! lol. I love Cadbury caramel eggs and still have far too much chocolate still around! Love that you made each other Easter baskets :)

    Sounds like you are doing well on sleep. That is a hard one.

    1. Thanks, Roz. We don't have kiddos so we like to do holiday things for each other. If we do have kids, I wonder if that would change.

  4. Yay for your successes - and for your 6 hour sleep night. :) Godiva chocolate particularly is worth breaking rules for, imo. Isn't part of life knowing when to color within the lines and when to break loose and draw all over the page? Lol... sounds like you're doing great.

      I think I mentioned somewhere here that life is meant to be enjoyed. I try to be healthy, but when the time calls for it, I like to live a little!

  5. Hi Lea, You did well seeing Easter was slap in the middle of it all. Hard to stick to a healthy eating plan with that. Hope you don't suffer another migraine for a while, horrid things. I rub peppermint oil on my temples, its a special roll on stick call migrastick. Maybe see if you can buy one over there.

    1. Thanks, Lindy. I feel pretty good about it. My philosophy is; try to be healthy as much as possible, but when the time calls for it - live a little! Life is meant to be enjoyed.

      If I keep getting these (and I hope not) I'll look into the oils! I googled, and I can get a Migrastick online.

  6. Sigh I typically get around 6 hours a night too, then on the weekend I crash for about 8. and take naps when I can. I'll go look at migraines this week and see what that's all about. next research topic i think.
