Tabs

When I'm on the internet, I am what Sir calls a "tab whore". I open up a lot of tabs, and keep them open as I browse, eventually clearing them as I go along. Sometimes I don't clear them for days!

Just to give you an idea, this is a screenshot of just one of my browsers right now (I use two accounts, so I have another browser open with its own tabs, and I also use a separate browser with 16 tabs for finances and bill paying):

30 tabs, not counting the other browser windows. And sometimes, I even have more open!

My tab addiction seems to drive Sir up the wall sometimes. He says that closing out one of my tabs or even worse, forbidding me to use tabs might be a more effective punishment than cornertime!

But, I love my tabs. Sir, don't get rid of my tabs, please! Let me keep them! ::puppy dog eyes::

  1. Can't help to just notice that title and not the tabs….. "How to Improve Your Posture". I am now so curious… And… I really wonder.. why do You keep them open.. it is like tab-hoarding?

    1. One of Sir's assignments for me is to work on my posture. I was to write a report for him on some things I can do to help improve it. I have chronic back issues, so certain suggestions are not always feasible. I'm also supposed to find some yoga videos for us to do together.

I tend to keep tabs up that I'm not "done" with. I'm not done with the assignment. I'm not done watching a show on Couchtuner. I'n not done with checking the employment pages of some local museums. Once they're "finished" I'll finally x them out!

I guess I don't want to bookmark everything, or have to re-find certain things.

  3. my Owner uses His tabs as reminders like a "to do" list. Once He has finished something then He closes the tabs. So He will at any time have 60 or 70 (no kidding!!) tabs open at once. Some things are things He wants to show me, or things He wants to pass on to me as "my do list". i can't stand having more than three or four open, it seems so messy!! This is His system and has worked well for Him for quite some time!

    1. I think I'm pretty similar. Most of my tabs are things I'm working on or need to take care of. Sir uses one tab at a time, and doesn't understand how I can have so many!

I love my tabs. It actually keeps me reminded of what I need to do - especially when Sir gives me some online-related tasks!
